And it's a "holiday" that absolutely no one gets off except people who work for the government. Also kids are out of school for the summer so no day off, or propagandizing them about it. It is a big nothing to normies. And as you said, it is a "holiday" that almost no one had heard of 5 years ago (I only knew about it from Rush Limbaugh making fun of it back in the day).
Scott what would happen if politicians start pandering directly to Africans distinctly from black Americans?
Like if republicans started focusing on them and saying how they voter republican in greater numbers and how they are such hard workers and show anyone can make it in America.
We have Trump and Kushner to thank for this pointless black nationalist holiday. This was nothing but shameless race pandering. Trump panders to every race except whites.
Even though it officially got passed during Biden's first term the vast majority of Republicans supported it partly because of Trump's support but also the usual white racial guilt and cowardice. It would have been passed during Trump's term except House Democrats blocked it since they wanted the credit during a Democrat administration.
I’m pleased to work for a woke social service agency that gives us the day off. Very much prefer it to MLK Day since it occurs in the summer. Scott excellently shows how the potential damage created by this holiday is effectively neutralized by the indifference of non-blacks.
