My wife watches Candace and believes the conspiracy theories. It's incredibly common and I'm the "lone holdout juror" when family and friends get together. It's kind of demoralizing. We can't have a rational discussion about it without arguing. It has harmed our marriage a bit. She's otherwise a wonderful wife and mother. She doesn't support Lindsay Clancy so I guess I should count my blessings.
I think conspiracism has gone mainstream. I'm a blue-collar guy and I consistently find myself the only person at work who thinks we landed on the moon, aliens haven't visited earth and 9/11 wasn't an inside job.
The Kirk conspiracy idiocy truly continues ceaselessly to amaze me. Every normie I know seems to believe that Kirk couldn't possibly have been killed by Robinson, and regard the official narrative as so absurd that it can practically just be waved away and dismissed out of hand. One guy was confidently ranting to me that Robinson will surely be aquitted seems how the prosecution "has no evidence" linking Robinson to the crime, and then predicted with equally stunning-and-brave confidence that after Robinson's aquittal the whole Kirk slaying would soon after be memory-holed by the deepstate.
At this point I think it honestly might not be an overstatement to say that Alex Jones and Joe Rogan have ruined America. Conspiracist epistemology is a fundamentally retarding force in American political and public life that makes it impossible for one to comprehend the basic reality that surrounds them.
The truth is that Trump has done as much as either of those people to make conspiracism mainstream. It started with Obama birtherism and it continued with the stolen election claims.
It didn't matter if Robinson got his marching orders from Antifa HQ or not.
The point was that he acted on beliefs held by thousands of dangerous extremists (as the left's response to the killing showed), and the Kirk assassination should have been the trigger for utterly wiping out those networks.
"[The conspiracy theories have] genuinely convinced millions of people."
Millions of people think electricity comes out of a wall. Even societies with 95% literacy and college degrees have stupid notions - WAT MEANS is that people who believe Candace and Tucker aren't really experts in politics; they just like entertainment, albeit they are a smidge more intelligent people than DraftKings enjoyers.
As always the attention should be paid on what the mainstream "intelligentsia" and the rich are saying. That is what drives politics, not the whims of the lumpenproles.
Also, Charlie Kirk's religiosity was a legitimate turn-off for millions of people. We already saw that in 1990s conservatism and see what that did to the GOP. Enough of that BS.
"And fear not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him that is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
RIP Charlie

It's just the end result of American individualism. Everyone cares only about themselves.

Fantastic piece
