Americanism is annihilating regionalism on a GLOBAL scale. If you meet a kid from Malta or Minnesota of a certain age, they will listen to the same music, speak the same gen alpha English, watch the same online videos etc. It's unspeakably depressing

I think this is part of why women like to travel so much. Everywhere on earth is basically home but with different aesthetics. Unless you end up somewhere really off the beaten path, which probably isn’t safe to go to anyway.

The Pizza Hut nostalgia is definitely there. You hear about that a lot online now. You would get a free personal size pizza if you would read books from Pizza Hut. Teachers would put pizza hut rewards in report cards. The late 90s was the golden age of low crime and a good economy because Bill Clinton was basically a modern day Republican when it comes to crime and welfare reform.

The tiny storefront Pizza Huts have replaced the old sit-down Pizza Huts with the red roofs. It's a travesty.
