One thing I’ll add to the baseball thing is that there’s a a weird obsession and insecurity among sports journalists about American blacks not being into baseball, even though the reasons are obvious ( basketball and football are seen as cooler and and black athleticism causes them to thrive in those sports). There’s been a lot of efforts to make baseball more inclusive to African Americans but they never seem to make a difference
