There is an enormous amount of political energy generated by the intersection of, for young women:

- sexual choice

- control over reproduction (contraceptives, abortion)

- economic empowerment (education, state subsidy, employment protections and quotas)

- relatively easy to satisfy moral narratives (I’m a good person because I’m in favor of immigrants, etc)

This combination creates a dream package for young single women. Conservatives keep trying to address this issue by gaslighting (“it’s way more fun to be home taking care of kids at 24 rather than out partying!” “Being economically dependent on your Al Bundy husband that you married at 19 is great!”).

It’s not working.

The online right really struggles to assess or solution this issue in a productive way.

Scott makes a good point that women are socialized to be kind. It was a big part of my upbringing. When you don't have a connection to family, it's easy to extend your "kindness" to the entire world, through the Democratic party of course.

Edit needed? “Young women are going to be a strong Democratic bloc for years to come. This problem is going to a social transformation that leads to more family formation. Until that happens, the best Republicans can do is mitigate the Democrats’ turnout advantage.”

Big issue not just for women, but DNC voter base in general: Republicans just cannot compete with the massive economic, social and cultural machine the left uses to entice their target demographics. Conservatives' response to "be less mean" is supposed to counter DEI initiatives, grant programs, and special business loans. It's ridiculous. And instead of taking a knife to these, they use all of their libertarian adrenaline on their own constituency by pushing back Social Security benefits.

You'll only be able to play Democrat games by going to the left and offering *more* benefits, which we can all agree would be awful. However, the compromise is to waste millions the GOP doesn't have on vague promises of equality. "Vote red, and instead of a welfare state, you'll get to be treated like the rest of us!" Unsurprisingly, they appeal to nobody.
