The recent claims by Catalonian TV that Columbus was a Valencian Jew and not Italian whatsoever will also cripple interest in Columbus Day if pushed by MSM. Usually such articles go unnoticed, but I did see that Fox News published an article on this. Like many are saying, the documentary’s genetic evidence is pretty vague and flimsy, but a more professional conference is being held in November. If Columbus was ever proven genetically to not be Italian (which I don’t think the study actually will do based on the wording of the documentary) Columbus Day would have no purpose. It is mainly only upheld now because it is an Italian American day of pride.

I’ve heard some suggest there ought to be a “Vespucci Day” and not a Columbus Day, because Vespucci is far less controversial. If it became common opinion (regardless of what is true) that Columbus was not Genoese, maybe I could see this. But it’s more likely it will disappear entirely. Some have said that if Columbus was seen as Jewish the Jews would defend Columbus Day, but it’s just not like them. They’d just say he was a Christian regardless of ancestry and absolve themselves of guilt. Jews don’t really side with Jews who they politically hate, look at how they view Stephen Miller.
